The Supa Multi-purpose Nest Box is suitable for many of the species of wild birds that are likely to nest in your garden. Can be used either in its original form or as an open fronted nesting box by removing the two screws which hold the front panel in place. When hanging the nest box make sure that it nest is slightly angled downwards to prevent rain entering the box. Other considerations are to make sure the box is: Out of both direct sunlight and the prevailing wind, Out of reach of inquisitive children, That it is not too close to your bird feeders as other birds may disturb the nesting pair. That it is sited in a place where there is not easy access for predators such as Squirrels or Cats A reasonable distance from other nest boxes in your garden to deter any aggressive behaviour between birds. The nest box should ideally be at least 1 metre off the ground but not higher than 5 meters. Do consider that you will have to occasionally inspect the nest box but only when the box is not being used to ensure it can be maintained and cleaned.
